Is there a plan to support copy-paste feature? There are multiple scenarios where without this feature the phone cannot be called as a "smart phone". Example: 1. I have to copy an URL and send it as a text message/open it in another browser 2. I have to delete a block of text before forwarding an email

Any plans of implementing copy paste feature in future releases? This phone is probably dumb without the feature!

Hi, I'm using Samsung Jet from last 3 months. Please don't buy this at all, just a waste of money and aweful experience. Smart phone which suport multi tasking, but every now and then ask for restart or restart it self if you start multiple application. Most common error message "No Enough Memory", even when I have 8GB card + 2GB internal, out of which 4GB is used that to in Memory Card. Please don't buy this phone. Samsung PC suite does not support this phone, you can not take backup of your contacts messages. Samsung needs to change there tag line, "What is next" --> "Experience Backwardness" "Smarter then Smart phone" --> "Smartness is how to make fool of customers" Thank you Samsung...

My jet requires charging after a day of relatively low usage. (only less than 10 calls on 3G signal) I thought it's supposed to last longer than that. This is the specs posted: Stand-by Up to 422 h (2G) / Up to 406 h (3G) Talk time Up 8 h 20 min (2G) / Up to 5 h (3G) The vendor where I purchased from claims I didn't charge the first time properly (full 8 hours) which caused the issue. Can someone confirmed this?

hi am yogesh and am from india. am planning to buy samsung jet.....my friend has already got one. i have been using my friend's mob for many days.. and i have some cons... the cons are as follows: 1.wher are the 3rd party applications... your competitors like nokia & apple have billions of applications. you guys call jet as "smarter than smartphone", the caption is nice to hear, but wats really the meaning of a smartphone if it doesn't support third party applications? 2.the headset quality given by the manufacturer sucks..... its not even audible when its kept at the maximum volume...(i used apple headset and its stunning on the jet at the volume level of 10) so if possible can you guys concentrate on the above mentioned points. i think if these two cons are given importance i think its worth calling jet as "Smarter than samrtphone" Thank you guys...if possible reply me at yogu_sony@yahoo.co.in mryogesh_mech@yahoo.co.in

Many overseas Samsung phones will work in the U.S.; however they have different technologies and carrier requirements, so service and functionally could be less than optimal. Samsung doesn’t provide technical or customer support from devices bought overseas or through third-party vendors. We recommend you purchase a U.S. Samsung phone with one of our carrier partners.

If a U.S. carrier decides they would like to sell a phone that is currently available overseas, such as the Jet, it may become available in the U.S., but at this time, there are no plans for it to launch in the U.S. market.

@mSafdel\r\nIt's Samsung's own custom version of Android OS. That AMOLED screen is freaking godly awesome. But Samy's HDTV are always excellent, so I knew they'd do a first like w/ this AMOLED screen. Where things seem to pop out at you! :D\r\n\r\nbtw my other phones have crapped out early, only my Samsung & Motos are still alive in retirement.

It is not available direct from Samsung. Samsung doesn't direct sell phones. It is not in the US because it doesn't support US specifications for 3G. Our best bet is the Samsung I8000 Omnia II. Its the same system (touchwiz) laid over WinMo ( I know i hate it too) but its better than nothing. Or shell out for the the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD.

Now it doesnt want to work with anything when I log on to wifi and then once its time to use anything that needs wifi- it disconnects and when I press details below the connect tab, my phone restarts.

Will the Jet support Real-Time Video Streaming from Web Cams using the RTSP protocall? An example cell phone that does support this is the Nokia 6630 when it it used to display the streaming output realtime from the D-Link DCS-5220 Wireless Web Cam. Ability to view RTSP usually means an embedded browser in the cell phone; what browser does the JET have? Thanks.

I understand US will not be getting this phone and that we will be getting the omnia II which is similar for verizon. Sprint is really suffering, on phone designs and what, is there any upcoming phones similar to these models coming to Sprint, US. I'm not even going to compare instinct with these or the new version which to me wasn't even an upgrade more like a downgrade except in design.

English, Spanish and French, by far most part of phones comes with 2 but missing spanish...for example Omnia is available with only One . live in Geneva and by far the only phone in this market allowing me to switch between both trhee or even 15 languages is the I-phone. Does the UK model have Wi-Fi? The http://jet.samsungmobile.com/ website doesn't state anything about this model having it and I emailed Samsung customer services to ask them and I got the reply 'In response to your email regarding the wi-fi query. We can advise that this handset does not have the option for wi-fi.' A lot of sites do state that the phone carries Wi-Fi, but none of them are official Samsung sites so I am led to believe different things.

I am now using a Samsung i718 and I also keep a Samsung Z510 from yesteryear.\r\n\r\nI like your mobile phones, and this Samsung Jet seems to have some great features, such as the new AMOLED screen.\r\n\r\nThe Samsung i718 is a good phone, except the ring tone is not quite loud enough, so it is hard to take the incoming calls in time.\r\n\r\nI don't actually use its camera and not for web surfing either, but I rely on its Contacts, Calendar functions, and I chose it because of its capability to read Word documents, spreadsheets, display JPG files, play MP3 files, etc., although it is very slow when the files are large.\r\n\r\nAlso I need the capability to display characters in Traditional Chinese.\r\n\r\nI live in Australia, but the i718 is not marketed here by Samsung, so I had to get a friend to buy one for me from Hong Kong.\r\n\r\nSince the Jet does not use Windows Mobile, and after a quick look through your jet.samsungmobile.com, I am still not sure whether the Jet has functions such as Contacts, Calender, reading Word, spreadsheets, displaying JPG files, playing MP3 files ( and Flash .FLV format files ), displaying characters in Traditional Chinese, etc.\r\n\r\nPlease advise.\r\n\r\nIf you have another model instead of Jet targetted to some users like me, please advise too.\r\n\r\nAnd will they be available in Australia, and any price indication ??\r\n\r\nMany thanks, and have a nice day !!

Please sell a CDMA version to Sprint. They need hi-tech cutting edge phones to compete with Verizon. Currently they have the Palm Pre, but not in great volume so the their sales are suffering as a result. It kind of hard to "push" a great phone with NO inventory. Since Samsung is a big, successful company (with an actual inventory of physical phones), maybe a Sprint Jet release would have the widespread impact Sprint needs to push them into direct competion with Verizon.

Well, after watching the youtube first look videos, I am super excited for this phone. It looks great due to the AMOLED screen, and the three different home screens looks to be very useful. The best part I think is the "CUBE" user interface. Quick and easy to get to, but yet very useful. To top it off, it has the 3.5mm jack for headphones and a really sweet looking back cover. I am so getting one of these phones, and that is coming from a Windows Mobile junkie.
