To lock the device and avoid unintentional key presses, press and hold the End key. To unlock the device, short press the Power button, then press the Left Soft key to Unlock, followed by the * key. Also, we recommend you send yourself a blank Excel and Word document and save them to your phone. This way, you always have a document to work from.

Hi, I am interested in purchasing the Jack, but the thing that puts me on the fence about it is that you can't create Word documents. A patch or something would be great. I read the earlier post about e-mailing a blank document and working from there, but that sounds kinds of troublesome to me...

Would someone PLEASE answer this question of whether you get charged for internet if you are connecting through WiFi?!?! I'm going with an iPhone if not, because there isn't an advantage to the Jack.\r\n\r\nIt seems that you get charged for using the internet even if you connect through your home router unless you shut off your phone, and then you can't make/receive calls. Is this true?

To shut off the phone, click on the power button (side left) and scroll down to Wireless Manager. Then scroll down to Phone and click the button in the middle of the directional pad. This will turn off the phone and allow you to only use Wi-Fi. Please note that you won’t be able to receive calls or send text messages when the phone it off. Thanks!

I also am experiencing very short battery life (only lasting 5-6 hours). My experience is that it may be related to the SD Card -- if I remove the SD card, the battery seems to last signigifcantly longer (two days). I may have to return the phone also if I cannot find a good solution for the short battery life.

I've had the Samsung Jack for a few days now and I've found that the Battery Life is really bad. I can't even get one full day of use. With the same amount of use on my Blackjack 2 I would only go down 1 power bar (with the Jack it's running out of power by the end of the day). I also get a lot of dropped calls and 1-2 bars in the same locations I'd get 4 bars with my Blackjack 2. I like this phone--but the power and reception issues may cause me to return it.\r\n\r\nOn other threads I've seen a lot of other people experience similar issues with battery life. It seems that either there's a bad design or a defective batch of phone?

Gabe – Thanks for your interest in the Samsung Jack. We can’t comment on products that aren’t available, but please check back for updates. The processor speed on the Jack is 528MHz.

I have an HTC Fuze currently and hoping to upgrade to a different smart phone. Will I be able to use the information on the SIM card with the new BlackJack II, if I choose to purchase?

I have a 2 questions: \r\n\r\n1) Does this phone use glossy and reflective plastic that becomes a finger-print magnate? \r\n\r\nI hope not!! :-)\r\n\r\n2) Which has the larger screen - the Jack or Propel Pro?\r\n\r\nThank you!

I have had my BlackJac 2 for awhile now and have been completely and utterly happy with this phone. My family has been trying to get me to upgrade to the Apple Iphone, I have refused to do the upgrade because of how happy I have been with my BlackJack 2. I am looking forward to the release date of the Samsung Jack. I've been ready to upgrade my phone for sometime but have been reluctant to give up my BlackJack 2. Every phone I have looked at (in my eyes) doesn't meet the requirements as my BlackJack2 does. \r\nThis new look of the Samsung Jack is very sleek, I (once again) am looking forward to the release date. The only thing that I am upset about is that it only at this time comes in one color.

Will Verizon be offering a comparable Samsung phone? Also, any news regarding Verizon offering a Blackberry Bold type phone? \r\nThanks.

How similar are the specs of the ATT jack compared to the AWS version you're offering for testing at MetroPCS and Cricket at the momeny? Specifically the amount of RAM, camera megapixels, and wifi?\r\n\r\nAlso how fast is the processor compared to, say, the Epix 907?\r\n\r\nThanks,\r\nGabe

I've been waiting for this day for a long time. . .I am a big fan of the blackjack series. The blackjack has a lot of features that aren't availible on the iphone and it can take full advantage of all AT&T's services like video share and att navigator. . .I would like to see mobile tv on this phone. I am very curious to see how this new phone specs will stack up to the Iphone and higher end WinMo phones like HTC Fuze.
