SIX FLAGS ENTERTAINMENT AND SAMSUNG MOBILE COLLABORATE ON A GREEN** INITIATIVE

Program Includes Sweepstakes Promotion and In-Park Mobile Phone Recycling


NEW YORK and DALLAS, August 2, 2010 — Six Flags Entertainment Corporation (NYSE: SIX), the world’s largest regional theme park company, and Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile), the No. 1 mobile phone provider in the U.S,*are teaming up on a Go Green** program. The comprehensive program includes a tiered consumer sweepstakes promotion with multi-platform Six Flags Media Networks support, and national in-park activation of the Samsung Mobile Take-Back Program.

Starting July 30, 2010, guests can enter for a chance to win a VIP Trip for four to the Six Flags Wild Safari in Jackson, NJ, the largest drive through safari outside of Africa. The Grand Prize also includes admission tickets to the nearby theme park Six Flags Great Adventure. Over 100 lucky entrants will also win various Samsung Mobile phones or Samsung Prize Packs. . The program offers two eco-friendly** ways to enter – guests can enter by texting “GREEN” to 60600 or online at www.sixflags.com/greensweeps. The sweepstakes will be featured on sixflags.com and supported with full in-park media platforms via Six Flags Media Networks Television, Digital Menu Board, and Jumbotron networks.

The Samsung Mobile Take-Back Program will be activated nationwide across all Six Flags domestic theme parks. Guests can drop off old mobile phones in Samsung Recycling bins located in designated areas in the parks. Samsung Recycling bins will be available to guests on park operating days beginning July 30 and ending on September 30.

The Samsung Mobile Take-Back Program is a part of Samsung Recycling Direct℠, Samsung Electronics America, Ltd.’s commitment to convenient and responsible recycling. Samsung Recycling Direct allows consumers to recycle Samsung-branded consumer electronics for no fee, and non-Samsung-branded electronics for a nominal fee paid directly to Samsung’s recycling partners throughout all 50 states in the U.S. Samsung Recycling Direct accepts all Samsung-branded consumer electronics sold in the United States ranging from televisions, DVD and VHS players, audio equipment and home theater systems, to cameras, camcorders, computers and cell phones.
