Lucinda Hall Talks About Enhancing Education Through Technology and Real-Time Collaboration
April 7, 2010

The future of education received a helping hand last week. With caring teachers aided by computer and web technology, the students of tomorrow will be able to learn in exciting new ways. Lucinda Hall, a 12th grade teacher from Maharishi School, and the submitter of the essay that won her school $50,000 in technology and grants from Samsung's Four Seasons of Hope Essay Contest, told me about her school and some of the ways in which technology will enhance classrooms.

"It's really important to use the skills that the kids have and find ways to bring them into the world of education," Lucinda said in an interview. "It is after all, the 21st Century," she added. She also explained some way in which teachers can better teach students through social networks, social bookmarking, blogs, Twitter, and other innovations.

See the videos below to learn more about Lucinda, the Maharishi School, and the future of education.
