To celebrate the announcement of the worldwide availability of the very first 3D LED TVs, Samsung and the six-time Grammy award winning group The Black Eyed Peas stormed Times Square this evening with an impromptu concert. Earlier in the day, B-boys dancers spontaneously entertained thousands throughout New York City in an effort to create additional buzz around the liberation of TV content from 2D to 3D.
Offering the broadest 3D product portfolio, Samsung is delivering on its vision to create a complete 3D experience for home entertainment. 3D footage of the concert will be filmed by award-winning director James Cameron’s film production company Cameron/Pace and made exclusively available in 3D to future Samsung customers.
Samsung’s 2010 3D TV lineup includes the LED 7000/8000/9000 Series, LCD 750 Series, and the Plasma 7000/8000 Series. Available this month are the 3D capable 46” and 55” LED C7000, with the remaining 3D TVs rolling out over the next several months.
