January 6, 2010

New Product Offerings Exemplify Commitment to Superior Audio Quality

LAS VEGAS, January 6, 2010 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., a market leader and award-winning innovator in consumer electronics, today unveiled its 2010 line of standalone AV Receivers, further demonstrating the company’s commitment to delivering premium audio experiences to consumers. . Each of the new standalone AV Receiver models – the 7.2-channel HW-C700 and 5.1-channel HW-C500 – feature Samsung’s new Crystal Amplifier Pro technologies that bring the audio experience that consumers expect from a movie theater, into the home.  The lineup features a stylish design aimed at complementing the 2010 lineup of Blu-ray players – for example, the HW-C700 was designed to be paired with the BD-C6500 Blu-ray player. For those wanting a complete solution, the HW-C560S and HW-C770S Home Theater Systems include matching speakers and an active subwoofer. Samsung’s new AV Receivers will be on display at Booth #11026 during the International Consumer Electronics Show, which will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, January 7 -10, 2010.

“Our AV Receivers elevate our home theater offerings to a new category and bring the consumer a truly authentic audio experience,” said Sung-Ho Jun, Senior Vice President of Visual Display Division at Samsung Electronics. “We are proud to introduce this new line of products that offer an equally premium and flexible experience to consumers, whether they are looking for an all-in-one or an advanced audio solution – all with a sleek and modern design that people have come to expect from Samsung.”

Samsung’s line of AV Receivers comes with the company’s group of Crystal Amplifier Pro technologies, which includes Multi-Variable Feedback and Intelligence Power features to ensure accurate sound reproduction. The Multi-Variable Feedback feature keeps unit-interfering playback noise to a minimum. Intelligence Power is applied when listening to music with a high volume variance, putting power to the amp when the volume suddenly peaks to avoid clipping. These technologies ensure the sounds listeners hear are as close to the original sound as possible.

In addition, Samsung’s line of receivers come equipped with a certified iPod/iPhone dock to let consumers easily playback their portable music library in the living room.

HW-C770S and the HW-C560S Deliver Complete Home Theater Solutions

For people interested in the best-in-sound experience of these new premium standalone AV Receivers, but want the total package, Samsung is delivering 5.1 channel and 7.1 channel offerings as a complete Samsung Home Theater System with speakers and an active subwoofer. The HW-C770S and the HW-C560S combine a state-of-the-art audio experience with an all-in-one, beautifully designed package that matches the stunning design of other products in the 2010 Samsung home theater and HDTV lineup.  This is a great option for those who want an affordable, powerful, all-in-one entertainment solution straight out of the box.
