Just as Samsung provides a number of creative options for taking still photos, a number of creative options for recording video are also available on its range of digital cameras. When set to the video recording mode, Samsung’s digital cameras give you the ability to adjust resolution, brightness, white balance, frame-rate, light metering, as well as the color effect that you’d like to apply to the footage.
Samsung digital cameras also give you the ability to pause and resume recording without having to save each clip as an individual file, as well as the option of using the optical zoom to get in close to your subjects.
Getting to these options on your Samsung digital camera is easy. If you happen to be using the SL420, first turn the camera’s mode dial to the icon represented by a small video camera – this will switch the camera into its video recording mode. Next, simply press the small “Fn” button, located on the bottom right underneath the five-way mode dial, which will bring up the various options which you can adjust.
Experiment with the various settings and have fun elevating your creativity using the camera’s Photo Style Selector, giving you the option to add effects to your video, such as sepia, black & white and negative!
