Well, tell the U.S. carrriers, for me, that I will switch from Verizon to any of them that carries an Omnia with a HW keyboard. The screen keyboard is useless to me. Right now, with all of Omnia's cool features, my Samsung i760 is still more useful to me because it has a slide out keyboard and Omnia does not.

If a U.S. carrier decides they would like to sell a phone that is currently available overseas, such as the Omnia Pro B7610, it may become available in the U.S., but at this time, there are no plans to launch the Omnia Pro, T* Omnia or i8910HD in the U.S. market.

Hello,\r\n\r\nCan you please tell us when the omnia II is going to be available in the US? and whether or not there will be an unlocked version, Because I don't want the verizon wireless version. I'm gonna be using the phone outside the US for a while..... And this is taking too long.. its frustrating... I'm starting to consider buying something else, just because you don't want to announce any release dates....\r\n\r\nNo offense, but this is really annoying!!\r\n\r\nThanks.

I have been a Verizon Wireless customer for a long time and I've been waiting for a phone like Omnia Pro to come along (I currently have a simple flip phone from LG). I'm really hoping this phone comes to my carrier because I really don't want a complete touchscreen like Iphone and the others. I've been holding out for awhile for a phone like this!!

I agree a lot of people in India are waiting for the B7610. We need a phone that beats the Nokia N97 hands down. If this is not being launched in a month, I would go for the Omnia HD or Touch Pro 2.\r\nPlease do let us know the launch dates.

I have an Samsung I760 and a I730 before that. Verizon doesn't offer the I760 any more and Assurion, the company that I have insurance with, doesn't have any replacement I760's. \r\n\r\nI've had the phone since it was released and really like it. Now the problem is it is at the end of it's life cycle.\r\n\r\nWhat Samsung phone replaces it? NONE if you don't release the B7610 in the US. \r\n\r\nSo you are forcing me and thousands of other users to switch brands to find a similar phone.\r\n\r\nPlease reconsider releasing the B7610 in the US. We don't have another choice in the Samsung line.\r\n\r\nLenny

I find it absolutely mind boggling that these touch screen phones have been out for what 3 years now and we still don't have any phone even comparable to the B7610 on Verizon! Wake up developers and give us a fully functioning touch screen with a slide out keyboard there when we want it in a smartphone package. Is that really too much to ask? Why are we not expecting the B7610?

Samsung:\r\n\r\nPlease explain.\r\n\r\nWhy is it that the really high tech an newer phones are not released in the US market?\r\nOmnia Pro, T*Omnia and Omnia HD as examples.\r\n\r\nIs it that your thought process is that we are just not into high tech as much as European Asian countries? That you think we are not smart enough to use and get the full benefits of such newer, high tech equipment?\r\nI would think with the US being the richest per capita country in the world it would be at the top of your marketing strategy?\r\nAll joking aside, \r\n\r\nPlease explain this thought process !!!!!\r\n\r\nKen

Two questions..\r\n\r\n1.) Will there be a USA GSM version of the Omnia II \\ Pro? (ie. 850/1900 UMTS)\r\n2.) Will the Omnia HD (i8910) ever have a USA release?\r\n\r\nI decided to purchase an unlocked i8910 import from UK, and I've been using it over here with AT&T..it's great even though it does not have the 850 band UMTS..I still get 3g in 1900 areas (which is basically everywhere around where I live. Although -- I really would prefer a version that supports both 850 and 1900. Symbian is okay but I would much prefer windows mobile. If your answer to question #1 is Yes then I will definitely sell my i8910 and pick up the i8000.\r\n\r\nCostas Schizas: Why on earth would you want the i8000 to have a stylus? Most people hate styluses on touch screen phones...I really don't think the i8000 is marketed towards the business crowd -- you are better off going with the Pro.\r\n\r\nThanks!

The Jet has unique features such as Samsung’s Dolphin browser, an 800 mHz processor and Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. The Omnia II is a Windows Mobile device and features the world’s largest 3.7-inch AMOLED display with crystal-clear WVGA resolution. The Omnia Pro B7610 offers push e-mail for multiple accounts and has separate modes for work and life. Each phone offers something a little different, so it depends on what you use your phone for most. You can read more about all the devices at www.press.samsungmobile.com.

Samsung Team, \r\n\r\nI have a simple request: Please take notice in the number of potential customers --just in these comments, but around the entire web (particularly in the US, but around the world)-- who would be interested in most, if not all, of the entire Omnia family (I8000, HD, PRO 7610, PRO 7320, and the Jet). \r\n\r\nIt would be futile to allow your marketshare to be so limited in such a hot market.\r\n\r\nSome will purchase touch only devices, others will seek out a device which includes a physical keyboards(preferably slider for myself).\r\n\r\nI've been a samsung pda user, strictly, for 10+ years. Don't force me to choose your competition (HTC Touch Pro2). \r\n\r\nRespectively, \r\nVzW customer, and _current_ Samsung pda owner

The Omnia II (I8000) spec and its looks are great. The only drawback is the fact that it does not have an on-board stylus.\r\n\r\nCarrying a dongle is not practical at all. So I think the Omnia Pro (B7610) it is more likely to be my next phone.\r\n\r\nWhy Samsung don't adopt a Stylus compartment on all your touch phones?\r\n\r\nOn the other hand if you were proving a nice case, even optional, with a stylus holder would have been acceptable.
