National Photography Month Tip 10: A photo tip for Moms
May 15, 2009

Some moms are notorious for being camera shy, with many claiming that their makeup isn't right or that they don't look their best for a photo (even though they couldn't look any better!). This can make it quite the challenge for you to snap some great pictures of mom, as was likely the case this past weekend on Mother's Day. But what if you can prove to mom that your digital camera is magical? That may just change her mind.
Most of Samsung's new digital cameras offer a shooting mode called "Beauty Shot." This is a unique technology that gives you the ability to enhance your subject's skin tones, remove any blemishes, and improve the look of harsh wrinkles. This is done right on the camera without having to rely on a computer, so that you can immediately show mom the results right on the camera's LCD screen.

If you have one of the many cameras with the feature, here's how to take a photo using Beauty Shot. Turn your camera's mode dial and select the option with an icon of a woman's face - this is the Beauty Shot mode. Samsung also gives you the ability to adjust the level of editing that the camera will perform - just in case you want to turn it down or mom wants to step it up a notch.
