2009-08-28 10:45:48.0Many overseas Samsung phones will work in the U.S.; however they have different technologies and carrier requirements, so service and functionally could be less than optimal. Samsung doesn’t provide technical or customer support from devices bought overseas or through third-party vendors. We recommend you purchase a Samsung phone with one of our carrier partners in the U.S.

2009-06-25 13:12:34.0I agree with Ryan, If Samsung didn't wish for the I8910 HD to be released in the United States sometime in the future why did they go through the process and the trouble of getting the phone approved by the FCC?\r\n\r\nAdditionally, why would there be no definite mention that the phone would not be coming to the United States in the many releases of the phone across Europe?

2009-06-19 11:52:03.0At this time, there are no plans for the OmniaHD, which has been renamed to I8910HD, to launch in the U.S. Samsung Mobile has announced that Verizon Wireless will carry the Omnia II in the U.S. Availability and pricing has not been set, but check back for updates!

2009-06-16 09:48:50.0If the OmniaHD will not be released in the U.S., why did it get FCC approval? (unless that does happen for overseas phones, I am ignorant of the process). Also, why has there been so much info and advertisement on major .com websites (not just .co.uk, etc) and no major disclaimer or information that it won't be released in the U.S.?

2009-05-05 18:31:06.0The phone looks awesome. I already have the Omnia with Verizon and it is the best phone that I have ever owned. If Verizon carries the HD version I would buy it immediately. If not then I guess it is time for a change in carriers. Hopefully it will be equipped with Windows Mobile.
