Also debuting at PMA 2009, will be the the Samsung HZ15W — a step up from the HZ10W introduced in Jan. at CES 2009. The 12-megapixel HZ15W offers consumers one of the most powerful lenses on a compact point-and-shoot digital camera, featuring a 24mm ultra-wide angle Schneider lens coupled with a 10x optical zoom.
Like the HZ10W, the HZ15W features the ability to record high-definition video at resolutions up to 720p, and utilize the camera's full 10x optical zoom. With its HDMI connectivity, so videos and images and can played straight from the device, but since it compresses videos into the H.264 format, videos highly portable without any extra conversion.
