I hope the new Luxia will come with a new frame style - not a glossy black that is a staple style for all manufactured flat screens.\r\n\r\nTVs are part of a room and glossy frame does not blend with the rest of the furniture.\r\n\r\nPlease, please go away from glossy. Frame color tints are also excessive.\r\nPlease make your frame inconspicuous.

Would be good to know when the 8000 series will be released, since they are the 240 hz models. 6000 and 7000 models are 120 hz.\r\n\r\nDiff between the 6000 and 7000 models are the internet widgets giving tv access to youtube, etc.

well i dont know much about the release dates or when the public will be able get their hands on them but best buy already has them , im not sure if you could purchase them but they do have the prices for: \r\n\r\n6000 40 shows at 2,299 \r\n6000 46 shows at 2,799 \r\n\r\n7000 46 shows at 2,999 \r\n7000 55 shows at 3,799\r\n\r\nwhat i dont understand is the difference between the 6000 and the 7000 other than that 6000 is red touch of color while the 7000 is the gray touch i dont see why i would spent 200 more for a different color and from what i know both are 120hrtz\r\n\r\nthese are from best buys listings link is provided\r\nhttp://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1&id=pcat17071&type=page&st=samsung+led&sc=Global&cp=1&nrp=15&sp=&qp=&list=n&iht=y&usc=All+Categories&ks=960

I purchased the UN46B7100 on Sunday and it arrived yesterday, March 12. The picture is something spectacular, the set is awesome at only an inch and a quarter thick. I now have it wall mounted and enjoy watching. I am also considering a Blu Ray and will be looking to do the Internet access features soon.\r\nMy purchase was through Cleveland Plasma and they were Excellent to work with!

Bob O'Neil....I'm not sure what language you are speaking in your message dated 03/04/09, but I could hardly understand what you wrote. Although I'd like to hear more about this new 'LUCIA' line of LED TVs you speak of. Apparently you know of some OTHER new line that the rest of us do not. Please indulge us. Inquiring minds want to know...

I here that the angle of LED is a bit limited is that the case? I building a new house and need a system aboout 50" wide. Will there be on in that range? The 950 at 55" is too big for the space by 2 inches. Also, my current plasma is mounting over my firepalce adn I have never had a problem. Will the Lucia seires be more sensitive to heat?

Okay... I really like the design.\r\nHOWEVER...\r\nthe stand seems to be transparent (or is it metal?)\r\nIf it's transparent... how can you hide HDMI / powerplugs... that you usually hide behind the stand. ????

I just want to know how this line will compare in price and performance with the A950 series. It seems like edge lighting should reduce the price, but how will it effect performance? I am holding off buying a new TV until Samsung releases a little more information on the Luxia series.
  25. eric says:
    2009-02-24 14:05:26.0
Can we expect specs and pricing to be out soon for the Luxia line? It's almost March and there is still no word on release dates, pricing, or detailed specifications.

Hopefully they release prices soon... I am willing to wait for the Luxia Line if the prices are not outrageous. I am looking for the 46" model, specificially the 7000. Considering that Visio is releasing a 55" with Local Dimming and 240Hz for under $2000 (240hz is only available on the Luxia 8000 and the Samsung only uses Edge lighting (no LD)) I am hoping for the 7000 line to come in under that... But who knows... \r\n\r\nActually I know it will be higher then that...(Thats where the hope part comes in )

The new LED TV's sound terrific, but I just bought a a new Samsung HDTV for Christmas. So, are there any new HTIBs or matched components in the wings, such as with easy connect wireless speakers and HDMI pass-through, that I can plug 'n play with my new LN46A650 TV + BD-P1500 BDP?

Hopefully These thin sets don't suffer from the Flash lighting and Clouding that the 850 Series did. I went through 3 850's before I gave up on finding one without a problem. I hope the QC on these units is improvded....

Exciting new models. Thank god i didn't purchase a HDTV yet. When will the Luxia LED models be available for purchase? Has there been any improvement in off-axis viewing on the Luxia LED models as compared to the 2008 950 series LED models? What about the blooming effect that the 950 series LED models created with bright objects in very dark scenes? Thank you.
